Please add support for a read more tag
[read-more]
I think this was available before the migration. Some fansubbers put lots of notes in the body of the subtitle project. And some of them want to hide the big mess of notes.
But maybe we can expand on this for Subtitle Projects.
Allow users to add "Translator Notes" similar to what we have on the Drama Episodes tab, but not as robust.
We only need the following:
[Add Translator Note]
Title:
Note:
By default the note is hidden in an accordion when users view it.

Max Romanchenko New task for you.
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Thank you for the task.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure I fully understand the context yet. I don't recall our subtitle projects having a dedicated section for translator notes on the frontend.
Could you please provide a specific example and maybe a screenshot? This would help me to see where these notes are located and where the "Read More" functionality would be needed.

Max Romanchenko I've attached an example of a notes section that is long, there's some that are longer than this (check the first post).
Fansubbers were able to add some wordpress tags before [read more] and it would concatenate the content and show a link that says read more that expands the content. It essentially cut the content and put it inside an accordion-like link.
But I'd like to expand this a bit, and create some sort of button/fields for users to make it more organized. Currently it's a big blob of text.
Can we add the [read more], but also add a button for users to add a "translation note" like what we have for Dramas Episodes tab.
This can be one or many.

We can move these translation notes to another tab in Subtitle Projects.

Thanks for the details! The "Translation Notes" part is now clear, and we can definitely build a system like the one in Dramas Episodes (or incident system, which is currently under development).
Regarding the "Read More" functionality, I just want to clarify the intended behavior to make sure we're on the same page.
Is the goal to have an automatic "Read More" for any long text in the main post body (to prevent layout breaks), or... is it similar to the "Spoiler" functionality we use in comments and episodes?
Could you confirm if this understanding is correct?

Max Romanchenko let’s make that section automated for now. I think some users want to just dump the text in there, but it may be very lengthy. Then users won’t need to worry about it.

I've implemented an automatic Show More/Show Less button for long text blocks. Please check it out and let me know if that works as expected.
Should I proceed with implementing the separate Translation Notes tab next, or should we hold off on that for now?
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko I think you can go ahead and implement the Translation Notes tab. Thanks for the Read More button.

The Translation Notes feature is ready (both for the admin panel and the frontend). Please check it out.

Max Romanchenko Just had some time to test this and I'm seeing a strange bug with the Read More.
I'm adding some translation notes and as I'm saving, the Read More will either be gone, or come back.
Attached screenshot shows the missing Read More.

Thank you for finding this bug. When switching tabs, the content was redrawn, causing the Read More button to disappear. I have fixed this, please check it out.

Max Romanchenko Looks like its working now. Thanks!
