New Field for Drama Post Types
complete
Amrayu78
Dramas have many different formats and we'd like a new field, titled "Format"
These are the formats:
- Primetime (renzoku)
- Asadora (morning drama)
- Yorudora (nightly drama)
- Shorts
- Taiga (historical epic)
- Web (web or streaming drama) <-- add this for Specials and Movies; the above formats only exist for Dramas
Please create the new field and add the above types minus the content in the parentheses. This new Format field can use tags like genres.
After creating the new field, please update the data:
- Update "Format" field to "Primetime" for all dramas except the following:
- Query Dramas with the genres: "Asadora" or "Yorudora" or "Taiga" and update their "Format" to the relevant Format types listed above
- Please make sure that Drama titles in Treasure Island or Pirate's Booty don't get bumped up due to the Modified Date being changed.
- Finally add this Format as an option in Advanced Search.

Looks good. Closing out.

Max Romanchenko: New task for you. Thank you.
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Thank you, I have a question.
How many formats can be assigned to a drama - one or several options (such as genres or countries)?
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko in this case, a few since it can be a web format too.
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Just to double-check:
For Movies and Specials, is Web the only format that applies?
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko Web format is for dramas, movies and specials. The other formats are specifically for dramas though.
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Thanks for the explanation!
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Everything is done, both in the admin panel and in the frontend. Modification dates are not affected.
Please check it out.
I know this kind of thing is never easy to bring up... but still - if at some point you are able to support the work financially, it would be really appreciated. No pressure at all.
Thank you.
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko Thanks Max! I've sent you some money. I'll check this out.
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko this looks good. Also I added a new format, "Late-night."
Can you check for Dramas that are "Primetime" and air at midnight or past midnight and label these as "Late-night"? We'll need the "Primetime" format removed for these Late-night dramas too. Please remember not to update the last modified date too.
Thanks!
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Thank you for your help.
I moved 611 Dramas from Primetime to Late-night. The modification date remains unchanged.
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko Thanks Max! I know its not much. If the site makes more money I can pay more as we build more things.
Also one last ask for this task, can you export out a dump of titles (dramas and specials) that do not have a timeslot? (time and day)
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78
Thanks, I understand, no problem at all. It won't affect my work, I'll keep doing my best.
Money's always needed though, especially with a family to support, so I appreciate any support.
Here is the file you requested, please check it:
Max Romanchenko
I apologize, in my previous reply I provided a link to a file with titles that do not have timeslot (time) - 820 items.
Here is the correct file (without time and day) - 541 items
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko thanks for this! I'll try to pay whatever I can afford.
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko one more thing to expand this out and expose it more.
Can we add this new Format field to archives (indexes, pirates booty, treasure island, advanced search)?
Let's add it above Genres, Format: xxxxx
Please also make the Format tags clickable like Genre tags (update in Dramas, Specials and Movies), so users will know that they can click on it to see more.
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 I added it everywhere you specified. Please check it.
Amrayu78
Max Romanchenko Looks good. I forgot to include one page: https://drama-otaku.com/forever-lonely/
Max Romanchenko
Amrayu78 Done.
