Contributors unable to select subtitle provider from dropdown menu

I don't know if this was addressed before but for some reason, some users are unable to select their subtitle provider name when it shows up on the dropdown menu. The name will show up fine when typed but when clicked it will disappear instead of showing up in the box. It's working fine for me personally when I tested it but a recent contributor brought it to our attention that it wasn't working for them and it's been mentioned by someone else too previously.
The user is on Google Chrome!
Let me know if you need any more details!

Max Romanchenko Another bug it seems! :')
Max Romanchenko
Cat Yes, please, I need maximum details from the user (How to reproduce it from my side). Perhaps a short video would help.
Thanks for your assistance!

Max Romanchenko I've uploaded a short video showing the steps the user took for this to happen! Hope it's clear enough
This was on the drama subtitle project for this: https://drama-otaku.com/subtitle-project/miwa-san-narisumasu/
I fixed it manually myself for this one but obviously it might happen again since it apparently occurred for someone else before.

Cat thanks for the details, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't reproduce this (I tried IPhone and laptop without touchpad). The code works, which means the problem is either in the device (browser extensions, touchpad and so on). I'm sure it has nothing to do with user privileges, but specifically with the frontend part.
I have added some log code, but I need some user help.
Here is what the user needs to do.

And one more test (if possible)
SECOND TEST:
- Right click in Chrome on the provider search field and choose Inspect Element (it should be the last item in the context menu).
- Type “nhi” in the search field.
- Send the video to you.
I recorded a short video:

Max Romanchenko Thanks Max! Have passed on the info to the user and will let you know once they've done the tests. :)

Cat Thanks for the video and logs. I can see that the autocomplete is working as it should, but something is blocking the field selection. Can I ask you to run the browser incognito with extensions disabled? For testing purposes. Perhaps some browser extension is blocking the field...
Does the problem occur in a different browser?
You are clicking the mouse on ropdown, right?
The biggest problem is that I can't reproduce this behavior. I really want to help, but I need some more of your efforts. Thanks!

Max Romanchenko It's not happening for me but for the user/fansubber who was trying to link their profile to the drama.
I will see whether I can ask them to try and run incognito with extensions disabled or repeat the steps in another browser.
I'll get back to you and let you know.
Max Romanchenko
Cat Thank you!

Max Romanchenko They tried on Edge browser with no extensions as well as incognito on Chrome and the same problem persists. They'e definitely clicking on the name on the dropdown menu as I can see them doing so.
I've provided the videos they took of both the Edge browser:

and the Chrome browser (incognito)

They tried on their phone and surprisingly it works fine on that so it must be to do with the computer itself. We're clearing the Cloudflare cache to see if the problem persists after that.
I'll keep you posted :(
Max Romanchenko
Cat Thanks for trying to find the cause. I noticed that on the user's video in all browsers the spelling rule is triggered and "nhi" is underlined with a red line. Could that be the cause? (some program is installed to change languages.... or some kind of firewall on the computer?
I am lost in guessing....

Max Romanchenko Ah no that just means that the computer doesn't recognize what the word is (since it's not a word that is known in the dictionary).
I honestly have no idea at this point but we'll get back to you with the results after the Cloudflare cache is cleared and tested!
